Beaver River Conservation & Management Plan

This Plan covers the entire 21-mile Beaver River from just south of New Castle
in Lawrence County, to its mouth at the Ohio River, and includes the River's Watershed
(not including the Mahoning, Shenango, or Connoquenessing).

Meetings of the Advisory Committee were held on March 2, 2005 and October 3, 2006.
The Committee is made up of local government representatives
as well as local businesses and organizations. The committee will help to guide the direction
of the Plan, present ideas for public participation and outreach, keep their community or
interest group updated, and review drafts of the Plan.

The first round of public meetings were held on October 3 and 5, 2005.

The final round of public meetings will be held in Spring 2007 where the draft Plan will be presented.
