The Pennsylvania Environmental Council is located at 22 Terminal Way, halfway between the South Side and Station Square off of Carson St.  Parking is available on Carson St., Bingham St., or any of the side streets.  There is also a visitor's lot on Carson St. adjacent to Terminal Way, or you can try to park on Terminal Way. You MUST see the security guard to sign in.   Please DO NOT park in the parking lots on Bingham St. 

Directions:  

Bus and Light Rail Routes: visit www.ridegold.com for detailed routes, maps, and price information.  

-From the South Side, take the 51A or 51C to Terminal Way

-From Oakland, take the 54C to the South Side - transfer to the 51A or 51C at 18th St and take to Terminal Way (see also next option)

-From all other destinations, take the appropriate bus to downtown - transfer to the 51A or 51C (stops along Wood St., 6th Ave., and Smithfield St.) and take to Terminal Way

-Take the "T" to Station Square.  Walk along east on Carson St. to Terminal Way.

From points east of Pittsburgh: Follow Route 376 West through the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.  Take the exit for Bates St. South (Rt. 885 S.) - exit #3A (this is the third exit after the tunnel).  Turn right off of the exit ramp.  Go under the bridge and turn right at the light onto 2nd Avenue.  Go through three traffic lights.  At the fourth light, turn left onto the 10th St. Bridge.  After the bridge, you may turn right onto Bingham St. or Carson St.  See the map above.

From points south and west of Pittsburgh:  

-Follow Routes 50, 60, 88, 51, 19 to Route 837 East (Carson St.) at the West End Bridge.  Turn right onto Carson St. East.   Follow the map above.

or

-Follow Route 19 North (Truck Route) through the Liberty Tunnels (Route 51 also connects to the Liberty Tunnels). Stay in the right lane through the tunnel. At the end of the tunnel (traffic light) turn right immediately (do not cross the bridge). Stay in the left lane and turn left at the light. At the bottom of the hill make a sharp right turn onto Carson St. Follow the map above.

or

-Follow Route 279 through the Fort Pitt tunnel.  Take the exit for Boulevard of the Allies.  Travel about four blocks to Smithfield St.  Turn right onto Smithfield St. and cross the Smithfield St. Bridge.  At the end of the bridge, turn left at the light onto Carson St.   Follow the map above.

From points north of Pittsburgh:

-Follow Route 65 or 19 to the West End Bridge.  At the end of the Bridge, stay in the left lane and continue straight through the light. There is no signage for Carson St. (Rt. 837). Once you have gone through the light stay to the left and follow signs for Rt. 837 or Carson St. (east). Follow the map above.

or

-Follow Route 279 south to the Fort Duquesne Bridge.  After crossing the bridge and the Point, follow the exit for Downtown (exit from the left).  Follow the exit ramp to the Smithfield St.  Bridge and turn right onto the bridge.  At the end of the bridge turn left onto Carson St..  Follow the map above.

or

-Follow Route 28 or 279 to the Veterans Bridge exit.  Follow Veterans Bridge (579) to the 6&7th Ave. exit.  Follow toward 7th Ave.  Turn right onto 7th Ave. and then left onto Grant St.  Follow Grant St. to Boulevard of the Allies.  Turn right onto Blvd. of the Allies.  Travel about two blocks and turn left onto Smithfield St. and follow the Smithfield St. Bridge to Carson St.  At the light turn left onto Carson St.  Follow the map above.
